Community Yoga & Wellbeing Partnerships
Gentle yoga, chair yoga and community wellbeing sessions in Musselburgh and across East Lothian.
I’m Vanessa Rigby, the yoga teacher behind The Yoga Nook at The Fisherrow Centre in Musselburgh. I’d love to hear from local organisations looking for ways to help people move at their own pace, take a breather and spend time with others.
Social prescribing and community projects
If you’re a social prescribing link worker, part of a charity or community group, or planning a local wellbeing project, we can talk through what would work for the people you support.
That might mean exploring whether an existing class would suit someone you’re supporting, commissioning a one-off session for your group, or planning a short block of classes as part of a funded project. We can discuss access needs, group size and budget before deciding on a format.
Sessions can include gentle movement, seated yoga, breathing and relaxation. I offer options so people can choose what feels comfortable on the day. There’s no need to have done yoga before.
Visiting The Yoga Nook
The studio is upstairs at The Fisherrow Centre, South Street, Musselburgh, EH21 6AT. There’s a lift to the studio for people who use a wheelchair or walking frame, or who prefer to avoid the stairs. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are downstairs near the building entrance.
The Fisherrow Centre is a community hub, so the studio is part of a place where local people already come together. If you’d like to talk through the route into the studio or what to expect in a session, please get in touch before your visit.

Let’s talk about your group
If you’re exploring a referral, planning a group session or putting together a funding proposal, tell me a little about the people you support and what you’d like to offer. We can work out a good starting point together.
