The Yoga Nook Weekly Classes
Gentle Yoga Flow
Monday 10am-11am
A gentle morning reset using breath and slow, flowing movement to bring steady awareness in to your body to relieve tension, restore focus and help you move in to the rest of the day. Beginner friendly.
Yin and Restore
(In-Studio and online Hybrid)
Monday 4pm-5pm
This is a slow, floor based practice with props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks to support you throughout. Yin poses are held for several minutes to gently target the connective tissues and encourage the free flow of energy through the body’s meridians. Restorative poses use props and minimal effort to help calm the nervous system and guide the body into deep rest. All levels welcome.
Ashtanga
Tuesday 6.00pm-7.00pm
Ideal for practitioners with some experience in Ashtanga or other dynamic yoga styles. Moving through some standing, seated, and closing postures from the set sequence. Don’t worry if you don't remember the sequence by heart - we’ll have fun learning and remembering it together.
I teach Ashtanga in a non dogmatic way and encourage use of props where people would like to use them as well as varying the poses to suit the individual.
Deep Rest - Restorative Yoga. Breathwork. Yoga Nidra
Tuesday 7.15pm-8.15pm
Gentle, floor-based practice to help calm the nervous system, release physical tension and create space for both body and mind to unwind.
Accessible breathwork to encourage relaxation and help settle a busy mind, finishing with a guided Yoga Nidra. This facilitates a deeply restful meditation often described as "yogic sleep."
These sessions are suitable for all, including those experiencing long term health conditions or fatigue.
Morning Yoga Gently
Wednesday 10.15am-11.15am
This class follows a more classical approach, focusing on simple, mindful movements standing and seated, breath awareness, and easeful transitions.
There is minimal getting up and down from the mat, and the practice avoids complex step-throughs or dynamic jumping. Instead, poses are introduced gradually and held with awareness to build strength, mobility, and a sense of groundedness.
Suitable for beginners, those returning to yoga, or anyone looking for a slower, more traditional morning practice that supports both body and mind.
Chair Yoga
Wednesday 11.45am-12.30pm
This gentle chair yoga class is designed to support mobility, recovery, and overall wellbeing in a safe and accessible way. Using a chair for stability and support, the practice is suitable for those managing injury, chronic conditions, reduced mobility, or returning to movement after a break.
Sessions include slow, mindful movements, joint mobility exercises, gentle strengthening, and guided breathing techniques to help ease tension, improve circulation, and support the nervous system.
Energised Vinyasa
Friday 9.30am-10.30am
Build a little heat in this more energising practice where breath and movement flow together in this vinyasa style class using dynamic, fluid and creative sequencing. Designed to build strength, mobility, and focus. Clear alignment cues are woven throughout to help you move safely and with greater awareness. Suitable for those with some yoga experience that want to challenge themselves.
Chair Yoga 2 - Strength and Balance
Friday 11.00am-11.45am
A more dynamic and strengthening chair yoga class, building on the gentle movement of our Wednesday morning chair class.
There will still be plenty of seated-based poses, but this class also offers the opportunity to explore supported standing, balance and strength-building movements, using the chair for stability and confidence.
A great option if you’d like to build strength, improve balance and enjoy a little more movement, while still having the support of a chair throughout.
